Open-rank tenured position in Japanese Art History at Kanagawa University

Kanagawa University in Yokohama, Japan, invites applications for a full-time, open-rank faculty position in the Department of Cross-Cultural Studies, within the Faculty of Cross-Cultural and Japanese Studies. The appointment will begin April 1, 2021. We seek applicants whose research into Japanese art history incorporates Western and/or comparative academic approaches. Duties will include the teaching of both English- and Japanese-language courses related to Japanese art, as well as other more general courses. Japanese ability sufficient for teaching and carrying out administrative duties is required of all applicants. Applicants must have completed the PhD by time of appointment.
