INAUGURAL EAJS CONFERENCE IN JAPAN (SEPTEMBER, 28-29, 2013) AT THE FACULTY OF LETTERS OF KYOTO UNIVERSITY (JAPAN)

Thanks to the fact that the EAJS has won the cooperation of the Faculty of Letters at Kyoto University as local conference host and organiser, the inaugural conference for the EAJS conferences in Japan will take place at Kyoto University. The keynote speaker will be Professor Timon Screech of the London School of Oriental and African Studies. The conference is also supported by the Kyoto ISEAS/European Consortium of Asian Field Study.

Moreover, all participants are invited to the pre-conference meeting at the International Centre of Japanese Studies (Nichibunken) on 27 Sept. 2013, the day before the main conference. In the evening of 29 Sept. there will be cultural events and a reception.

  • Conference Registration Fee for EAJS Members: 3000 yen
  • Late or On-site Conference Registration Fee: 6000 yen
  • Please note that presenters and participants need to organise their travel and accommodation arrangements in Kyoto by themselves during the conference.
  • All accepted presenters need to be paid-up EAJS members.
