EAJS Conferences in Japan

The European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS) has been organising an EAJS International Conference at a European centre of Japanese Studies every three years since the 1970s.

Due to the growing interest on part of the international community of Japanese Studies scholars in recent years, the EAJS has commenced to organise an additional conference in Japan in the year prior to every triennial EAJS International Conference.

The 1st EAJS Japan Conference was held at Kyoto University in 2013.

The 2nd EAJS Japan Conference will be held at Kobe University on 24 and 25 September 2016. More details and a Call for Papers will follow later this year.
